Graduated and post-graduated in Chemistry from UNESP, with research funded by FAPESP in the field of Organic Chemistry and Natural Products, focusing on the isolation and structural determination of organic compounds. Since 2009, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at UFAM and has coordinated the NMR laboratory at the institution’s Central Analytical Facility since its establishment in 2016. He leads the research group ‘Núcleo de Estudos Químicos de Micromoléculas da Amazônia’ (NEQUIMA), which focuses on the chemical characterization of Amazonian plants, particularly from the Myrtaceae family, for potential applications in combating diabetes mellitus. He also coordinates research projects funded by CNPq and FAPEAM and serves as a reviewer for high-impact scientific journals. In 2024, he began a postdoctoral at EMBRAPA-Instrumentation (São Carlos, SP), developing analytical methods for organic matrices using time-domain NMR.
