She is currently an Associate Professor in the Institute of Chemistry at the Federal University of Catalão (Brazil). She earned her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) in 2015, including a sandwich program at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany (2014–2015). She also completed postdoctoral research in Medicinal Chemistry and Structural Biology at the University of São Paulo (USP) from 2015 to 2016.
Her expertise lies in natural products research and enzyme kinetics. Her work focuses on identifying bioactive compounds in natural products for drug design and cosmetic development by studying protein targets.
She currently coordinates research projects, and her laboratory (LaBiOrg) research is funded by FINEP, FAPEG, CNPq, and private companies such as BIOCAP and Livealoe. She also serves as the Coordinator of the Master’s and Doctoral Program for Academic Innovation (MAI/DAI-UFCAT) and the Industrial Chemistry Program (Bachelor’s Degree).
