She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (Licenciatura Plena) from the Federal University of Santa Maria (1998), a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the same institution (2000), and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (2005). She has been a faculty member at the Federal University of Roraima since 2004, working in the Department of Chemistry, and is currently a full professor. Her research focuses on natural product chemistry. She investigates the chemical composition and biological activity of natural products, emphasizing bee products’ chemical composition and antioxidant activity. In 2022, she was awarded the title of “Orgulho de Roraima” by the Legislative Assembly of Roraima for being one of the 15 most cited researchers in the state.
