Graduated in Pharmacy (2001) and Ph.D. (2006) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Currently an Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of São João del-Rei and a Master’s and Ph.D. advisor in the Graduate Program in Biotechnology (PPG Biotec). She held a CNPq Research Productivity Fellowship (2018-2021) in Animal Science and currently in Agronomy. She coordinated the PPG Biotec program at UFSJ (2020-2022).  Her research focuses on Natural Products, particularly chromatography (HPLC), spectrometric analyses (NMR, IR, MS), and biological assays. She evaluates plant toxicity for use as natural herbicides or insecticides and explores antioxidant, antimicrobial, antitumor, and other bioactivities.
