Damaris Silveira holds a degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry with an emphasis on Industry from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (1986), a Master’s in Chemistry from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1993), and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1999). Currently, she is a Full Professor at the University of Brasília, where she also serves as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Scientific Initiation Program (PROIC). She is a member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Society and an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Pharmacology – Ethnopharmacology Section. She has expertise in Pharmacy, with an emphasis on Pharmacognosy, focusing on the following areas: phytochemistry, ethnopharmacology, and regulatory issues related to herbal medicines.
