Ian Castro-Gamboa is a professor and researcher at the Institute of Chemistry at UNESP (IQ-UNESP), where he serves as Vice-Director and coordinator of the NMR Platform. He is one of the founders of LAMPS (Latin American Metabolic Profiling Society), a society dedicated to advancing metabolomics in Latin America. His research focuses on the discovery of bioactive metabolites from Brazilian plants and microorganisms, utilizing metabolomics, NMR, and MS, with the aim of conserving and sustainably using Brazil’s biodiversity.
